How it functions

5:20 a.m. So, gentlemen, to point three, and perhaps seven, of the eight points you set out on Friday. I’m ready if you are. Setting for focus, receptivity, clarity, presence.

Cite our third point.

“The vast impersonal forces as they flow through 3D humans and thereby process the shared subjectivity’s unfinished business as well as the individual’s.”

Hold in mind that this connects with the concept of reality as a system containing opposite tendencies, necessary to each other if there is to be a balance among forces. In the absence of such a balance there can be no continuity. That is, rather than a viable ecology, you would have a one-time condition that would immediately degrade. This, regardless whether you approve or disapprove of individual pieces or of the construction as a whole. As we said, do not think yourself more moral, more all-knowing, than you can possibly be. “Nature bats last,” people said. They might also have said “Father knows best,” if that wouldn’t have offended their prejudices – for if the one is a bias, so is the other. Rooting for only one side, in a balanced system, is neither productive nor perceptive. That extends even to rooting for light over darkness, in a way. What would be productive and perceptive would be to recognize that light and darkness (like every other paired opposite) have their rights and their proper place in the scheme of things. Or do you suppose that the universe is malfunctioning and it is only now being discovered because your generation became so enlightened?

I’d say that’s just what some people do think, minus the sarcasm.

Well, they’re wrong, as well as right. Wrong in that they aren’t as far-seeing or as wise or as altruistic as they give themselves credit for being; right in that the life you see around you is not what it might be. But seeing that things are not yet right is not the same as seeing them all wrong. And that leads directly to the point we wish to discuss. To dissect it –

  • The vast impersonal forces
  • As they flow
  • Through 3D humans
  • Thereby process
  • The unfinished business
  • Individual and shared.
  1. The world is greater than 3D alone, and the non-3D is not merely a scrim, nor storage space, nor an afterthought. Indeed, it is of the non-3D that the 3D was (is) created. It shouldn’t take a lot of thought for you to realize that it has its processes, some of which involve or impact the 3D. (But remember, too, that you are of the non-3D. The 3D is not your home but your temporary campground.)
  2. Energies flow. That is their nature. Verbal snapshots may leave an impression of stasis, but that is an artifact of the process of capturing a moment. Energy is always in motion. Even dammed-up energy is motion, being forced to mark time, you might say.
  3. It is to 3D humans we speak, so it is about 3D humans we speak. No point in pretending to discuss how the world is, other than in relation to you; it would be merely playing with words. It would be of no assistance. These energies flow through you. You experience them in certain ways. Why concern yourselves with theoretical explanations of how they might, conceivably, affect other parts of reality?
  4. The flow of energy through you may be considered a form of processing, because it transforms you by energizing you. In effect, it is the electricity powering the motors that are you. No electricity, no movement. Thus these energies could be considered to be the breath of life.
  5. Now, we have been calling it “unfinished business” as a sort of convenient shorthand. By it, we mean the situation as it exists at any given moment. You might say that ay any given moment, a balanced system appears imbalanced. Because things are in the middle of being processed, a snapshot would hastily conclude that the system doesn’t balance. (And, if we may say so, coming to hasty conclusions is something 3D conditions make you very prone to do.)
  6. Language makes more of a difference here than actually exists. Your individual karma, so to speak, is of course part of the total. The total of course includes you. How else could it be? There can be no such thing as an effect on one not affecting the other. The connection may or may not be obvious, but it is always there, because it must be, in the nature of things.

Now, looking at things in this context, can darkness, can evil, be interlopers? Is the system flawed, or broken? Isn’t it much more likely that you aren’t seeing the larger picture, and that your emotional reactions are rooted in things in your particular life, rather than being cosmic insights? In short, if you complain of the world, are you complaining that things aren’t as they ought to be, or that they aren’t as it would please you if they were? There’s a difference.

If you like deer but not wolves, or dolphins but not killer whales, or birds but not cats, or cats but not coyotes, does this mean that the universe should adjust itself to your preferences? And, if it does mean that, does it mean it should not adjust to the preferences of others with different tastes?

Can you see that the question resolves to whether any individual or group can know the universe better than the universe knows itself?

It’s a strong argument, but I have the feeling there is a counter-argument to be made.

Of course there is. Not a counter-argument in terms of the facts, but in terms of the implications. And you know what it will hang on.

Choice.

Of course choice, yes. We have been saying right along that you are here to choose. Well, take that in connection with what we just said about personal and shared karma being inseparably connected, and you can see that quite independently of any actions you may take, any decisions affect things.

So if we consistently choose light over dark, good over evil?

You will not (should not, even if you could, which you can not) remove darkness or evil from the world. They have their rightful place. But you can, and continually do, change the balance in your particular neighborhood of time and space.

We can’t improve 3D reality but we can live in a part of it that is skewed toward our desires?

That’s one way to see it, if you remember that any such skewing will have a limited shelf-life. You aren’t going to permanently alter anything, and that’s a good thing, given that you wouldn’t know what you were doing, given the law of unintended consequences.

Do I take it that we are under adult supervision?

We smile. Something like that. In a way, your non-3D component is your adult supervision, which is why you benefit by widening the connection.

Today’s theme?

“The way it is”?

Maybe. Our thanks as always.

This session has turned on more lights in terms of my understanding. Thanks so much.
