6 a.m. And so, an end to a pretty interesting year, at least for me. You splendid gentlemen have any New Year’s Eve thoughts, or shall we continue where we left off yesterday? Or both? Focus, receptivity. Clarity, presence. Over to you.
For our New Year’s Eve parting thought, perhaps we should repeat that the entire unresolved agenda of the entire human race – and there is always an unresolved agenda – comes to you in structured, patterned, waves, and this is what we have been calling the vast impersonal forces. They contain your personal issues – everything you haven’t dealt with, positive or negative – and they contain everyone else’s personal issues (thus, in effect, vast impersonal forces) as well. Given that you are both individual and part of all-that-is, how could personal and impersonal be kept separate? Thus, your personal subjectivity and the shared subjectivity are part of your world, and you can never live only in the one or in the other.
And thus work on ourselves is not evasion of larger civic responsibilities.
No, nor is concern for the larger welfare an evasion of your personal responsibility. That is – in both cases – it need not be. But any focus may be misapplied, of course. It is always well to keep an eye on one’s performance vis a vis one’s intent.
It seems to me that recent events – the past 20 years, certainly – demonstrate what a man named Calleman wrote in a book about the coming new age, that in effect there would be a last burst of dark energies prior to the emergence of light energies. He was discussing the Mayan calendar, come to think of it. But the point that I remember is that he was seeing – foreseeing – that you don’t leave the darkness behind by changing the page on the calendar. You have to work the energies, resolve them, make them conscious, transform the situation.
Of course. Have you finished doing all that?
Could we ever finish doing all that?
If you could, would 3D serve its present function? But let us revert to yesterday’s discussion. If you will list the five topics again –
- The nature of superhuman abilities.
- People’s different tasks in 3D
- Factors in 3D/non-3D linkage in conscious communication.
- How the time disparity manifests.
- What is possible in a given moment of time, and why it is possible.
We addressed numbers two and five. Let us look at number three. It may shed some light on your perplexity about time delay in our communication.
I’ll be interested to hear. I have absolutely no idea about this one. Sometimes I get the idea via a spark jumping the gap, but not this time, not yet anyway.
You tend to think of the linkage either as a smooth continuity, like sliding down a ramp from non-3D to 3D (your 3D-plus-non-3D existence being the ramp), or as a bridging of a gap, like conversation between two or more individuals in 3D. In practice – particularly in this practice [they mean, me talking to them] – you experience it as a little of each, sometimes intuiting in a leap, sometimes reasoning it out as if two or more together. In order to help you overcome your initial assumption that the non-3D knew everything and the 3D were relatively ignorant helpless recipients of wisdom-alms, we allowed a certain simplification of the model. As always, we have had to resort to scaffolding in order to construct the edifice. But now let’s move to a slightly more nuanced model, stressing that you in 3D are never only in 3D, and that you as an individual are never only you as an individual.
I suppose you mean, there are more forces acting on us than we have considered.
This is a cumulation of many considerations we have been placing in front of you, including the concept of smaller and larger spheres of awareness with emotions at the boundary layer. Including the vast impersonal forces, and the existence within you of many competing sub-personalities attached to other 3D lives still being actively lived from their own perspective.
I’m beginning to get – “and therefore every conversation is a more complicated thing than it may appear.”
Yes indeed. Now suppose you ask us a question and we don’t immediately respond. You have been assuming – and we have let you assume – that this is us burrowing through our files, looking here and there, perhaps holding staff meetings to clarify something. What you rarely or perhaps never consider is that sometimes it is the moment itself that is the delay.
I don’t understand that.
No, we know. So let’s look more closely at what it means, to say that “the moment itself,” the times, can be the problem.
What is “the moment”? We have said that it is a certain combination of conditions, described in astrology, that allow this or that to manifest, and do not allow this or that other thing to manifest or – to make this less of an either-or statement – let’s say are more or are less propitious for any particular thing. The moment favors certain expressions of energy, and disfavors others. You see this in your 3D lives all the time, it’s just a matter of conceptualizing and then recognizing it.
But remember, “the times” are, in effect, the filter through which is strained all the unfinished business of the personal, and of the shared, subjectivity. That is, “the times” filter the “objective,” “external,” physically real world you live withing. It is all so much less mechanical than you think it is, and at the same time it absolutely conforms to law. (This is why paying attention to whatever mantic system you like – the I Ching, runes, astrology, tarot, etc. – can help you find a smoother path, moment to moment. They won’t change the weather, but they can hint as to whether you will need an umbrella.)
What this interconnection among everything means in practice is that sometimes what seems personal, simple, and straightforward, isn’t.
Can you give us an example, please? Perhaps one involving your hesitating to answer a question, or to broach a topic?
What happens when you can’t remember something and then, after a time lag long or short, you can? Is that connected to your conscious intent? Clearly not. Is it a result of we in non-3D losing track and so being unable to prompt you? Not so clearly “not,” but still, not. Then, what?
I really don’t have any idea. I know there is some physical mechanism that changes as we age, that makes the momentary loss of ability to pinpoint information occur more frequently, but I am assuming that the situation has more dimensions than the merely chemical and electrical effects within the body. You told us long ago that I, for instance, don’t have a problem in retaining memories, but in accessing them. And later you pointed out that people who have disabling brain injuries do not therefore lose their memories once they have left 3D, because the memories were never in 3D in the first place.
To say it more carefully, the brain contains what seems like the memories – they can be invoked by an electrode placed on the right cell – but are actually access points to the memories, which are indeed stored and continually modified in the non-3D.
At the risk of a diversion – continually modified?
That would be a diversion. Let’s finish, for we have already used an hour.
The reason “the times” has to be considered in questions of 3D/non-3D communication is because, as we pointed out, the 3D is actually the energy of all humanity’s current and past unresolved issues. (And the future’s, but these are experienced as felt potential.) So, your 3D environment is psychologically alive; that’s what it is. You, within it, are in resonance with some of those churning energies and are out of phase with others and have no coherent correspondence with still others.
Aha! In other words, no matter how it seems to us, the problem is always going to be on our end, because it is our mechanism in 3D that is being aided or impeded by the shared subjectivity – “the times” – on a moment-to-moment basis.
Not quite. The point actually is that we in non-3D are just as susceptible to 3D waves, or rhythms, or cycles, or whatever you want to call them, as you are, because “the physical” is energy, just as we are. That is, 3D and non-3D are not only different points on a continuous scale; they are two ways of seeing and experiencing the same thing.
But surely you must see, all this had to be glided over silently, all these years. You can’t do higher math before you learn your numbers. You have to learn to walk before you can learn to run.
And that will have to do, for the moment. We can continue next year.
Very funny. Well, Happy New Year to you. I’m envisioning you in paper hats, playing kazoos and drinking too much. Our thanks as always.
Happy New Year, Frank/TGU!
Looking forward to 2022!
So, here’s something to celebrate. Happy 2022 to all.
“…relatively ignorant helpless recipients of wisdom-alms…”
I love this turn of phrase.
“To say it more carefully, the brain contains what seems like the memories – they can be invoked by an electrode placed on the right cell – but are actually access points to the memories, which are indeed stored and continually modified in the non-3D.
At the risk of a diversion – continually modified?
That would be a diversion. Let’s finish…”
I respectfully hope that this “continually modified” stored memories topic comes up again.
