Guest post on reincarnation

[This was submitted as a comment, by John Dorsey Wolf. With John’s permission, i post it here.]

Comments by several followers of Frank’s blog triggered a recent desire on my part to understand more about what we call reincarnation. The following is offered as a result of my “exploration” on this topic. As always, it is one perspective, no more, no less.
Part 1 is my transcription of what came from “greater intelligence” via thought transfer.
Part 2 was a “thought ball” that I have had to work to describe, recognizing I’m likely not giving the full sense to it. It’s been a struggle for me to extract and describe the mental image and intended meaning, I think as intended.

Part 1
“There are beginnings and there are beginnings. Reincarnation as it is currently discussed in 3D is in the context of some sort of Earth life progression, which itself has to be put in context. Earth life progression and that process for creating new souls is not the only game in town. Furthermore the concept you’re dealing with here often carries with it the hidden assumptions of sequence, state separation and progression from a lower to a higher state.
So the first (point) of greater understanding is to recognize that isolating or limiting the context to only that part of reality which constitutes the elements often referred to as reincarnation is highly distorting to begin with. How can Earth or other physical reality incarnations of a greater being be isolated from the context of the greater being’s own creation and growth? Consciousness that creates new souls has always existed, all ingredients present from the beginning, active or latent.” (Clumsy as this is, I left it as close to the way it came in as possible. The meaning I believe is that lives lived in Earth physical reality are a very small part of all reality, and even small when compared to those parts of reality that create souls or aid growth. Therefore to isolate our thinking to this tiny sub part of reality in order to address the subject of reincarnation will be highly distorting.)
“Every element of consciousness has within itself the capacity to be all. And consciousness is (inherent in existence), and not subject to limitations of any physical or non-physical reality. There is no limit to the number of ways that consciousness naturally seeks to create and experience and be all that it is capable of.
So a second (point) of greater understanding is to recognize that the growth or cycle you refer to as reincarnation is one of myriads of choices that can be made, that are made naturally as the tendencies inherent in consciousness activate.
Third, all connections exist (always, even when not sensed), so that it is difficult to speak to action or choice of a sub part of anything. Everything affects everything else.
Yet, here you are, in the middle, as you will always be, because there is no beginning and no end. You are consciousness of pure and limitless potential, and you are consciousness in process of becoming, and you are consciousness having uniqueness from experiences and paths chosen.
Physical Life, and Earth Life specifically, is a crucible, a fabric producer, so to speak. It doesn’t originate consciousness but it can blend and create and solidify for further use and for further creation and expression.”
Part 2
(What Follows came from a “thought ball” mental picture, not a picture sensed visibly, so describing it is not easy. Further, it was clear that the “picture” was for the purpose of putting what we call reincarnation into context with the on-going dynamics of consciousness. It is not intended that it be an analogy for understanding consciousness itself.)
Imagine a fabric that in a single instant or snapshot is like a flag waving in the breeze, and it’s made up of a maze of variation in color and texture. It is not static. It is spontaneously self-weaving new fabric, changing the fabric that existed, and ever creating new connections from one part of the fabric to another.
If these dynamics were temporarily frozen, and we looked at the fabric with a microscope, we would see “nodes” at the intersection of threads and strands (combinations of threads), and we would see a myriad of connections to each node. For the sake of the analogy, the node is a soul, formed from a single physical life. When that part of the fabric was being created, we would witness it coming into being in conjunction with the contribution of nearby nodes that connect to it and we would see it become a contributor to other new nodes subsequently formed. But even as these nodes were being formed, the fabric all around was changing, and their formation would be seen as part of even greater change.
During the creation of a node, it is possible to see the contributions of the previously formed fabric, and during that period a node could theoretically identify with its most dominant contributors. But beyond this short period, it would be seen that further connections and changes continue, in and around the local area as well as from broader regions of the overall fabric.
The impression I am left with from this mental construct, is that a reincarnation “life after life after life” view is not invalid, but is highly isolated, simplified and restricting.
A more encompassing view that sees reincarnation as the interweaving of the many threads and strands (communities in the Rita lingo) that contribute to a node (a formed soul) and to subsequent nodes in the area, provides a broader perspective but one that still is inevitably isolated from the dynamics of the even greater “fabric”.
I am also left with the impression that not just the “communities of threads and strands” interact in the formation and ongoing soul development but also the myriads of connections which “leapfrog” and extend far beyond the local region also have significant influence.
We become a mind as part of one mind, one that is highly dynamic, with vast variation, complexity and expression.

  1. Frank and John, Your comments make sense to me from my own life and research in the field of “reincarnation”. Your larger context is necessary in order to account for several aspects described by individuals and researchers: We humans do not have a signal 1-2 reincarnation. Re-living of the soul goes through many (unknown) generations. These many “soul cores” also appear to split into two or more “physical containers” during the same and/or ongoing period time. (Think of a hand that can be more creative with several fingers.) While many souls feel they have created a bad “grade” (one of self- and group-perception) they can fail just as bad again. Others are able to progress in a societal constructive manner. All that to say, there seems that the “Core Consciousness” has created a process of evolution, pointing to a even more complex and constructive universe. The conscious/soul in humans can also learn and evolve in other physical species in order to reach higher levels of consciousness. These many, and other, facets suggest that we Earthlings are are living and evolving among all the “children” of our universe.

    1. Thank you very much Paul likewise.
This is a very clear explanation as any (to me).
All-in-all, it seems (us,as species), OUR consciousness, must be aware as an co-operative MASS (i.e.Force)… “as everything affects everything else”.

We have “the power” to blow up the whole physical Universe (but not”the original Source”).

The Co-operation with Cosmos birthing dreams… or else, it is a dream within a dream, dreaming a dream within a dream. Many a time as a nightmare- grotesque and cruel.
Still, within us, the power to create whatever it is.
What an insane world of beauty!
Love is all there is, “the rest” as a fake, including all universes.
It is to be experienced or else it is just “words” filling the empty space..
As to my little niece (now 10 years old) who was born”without a brain”… WHO, without words, communicating with us only by to show LOVE (and teaching the environment love), ever smiling and satisfied as she seems to be. She NEVER cries, and sleeping all night.
      B&B,Inger Lise

        1. Frank? Hm,f.inst. with the atomic bomb(s), and the biological chemicals, dropping it from drones& airplanes in tiny small containers… The environment will be intact, but not the humans or animals or vegetables/trees, and such.
The Atlanteans had the power remember?
And to recall E.C.saying the Atlanteans have reincarnated en mass “in our time,” as to learn NOT to do the same “blunders” all over again.
P.S.Do not wanted in scaring us that is.
          LOL,Inger Lise.

  2. My question still remains and I don’t think it will be answered until I find out for myself; that is, the part of consciousness that I call “me” and which is experiencing this 3D life, does it have to do this again, or is it really released to other things once the incarnation ends? All who know me know that this incarnation has been so unpleasant that I vehemently do not want to return to having to go through this again. I know I have a lot of company in that opinion.

    1. Mary Ann,
I’ve had similar thoughts, mine along the lines of I don’t want to do this again, and if I did would I have to start from scratch to re-learn what I now understand? This input, and some follow-on that I believe Frank will be posting, gave me a better understanding that we are contributing to greater consciousness in a way that is much more natural than the struggles we have make us feel, and there’s no value in fretting over possible future “returns to Earth” as that choice will also occur in a context well beyond ourselves. And it’s always for the greater good.
      John

  3. Frank, I find your inspiration is occurring to many. It is at the heart of an emerging, more holistic scientific view of reality that is wiping out the old machine approach beloved by engineers and technology corporations. Much the same is happening to more aware theologians. Indeed, “aware” science and theology appear to merging. This is a thread I’ve been following for several years and I can document these assertions almost endlessly. Rather, I’ll point you to a book that recently came to hand: “Preaching Deconstruction” by Robert M. Price.

  4. Thank you very much John.
This is magnificently expressed indeed !
And it is very much similar to what Edgar Cayce says in “us to be sparks of the Creator” (though, E.C. also said: We are not God/-The Nameless; Himself / Herself / Itself, but SPARKS of God. Hmm, well, to learn humility is one part of it), us, within The Consciousness creating Itself.
It came to mind once to have read somewhere (ACIM or E.C.?), CONSCIOUSNESS was NOT (no-thing/nothing) “in the beginning” …It began with The Big Bang Theory… The Latent Source (God) wanted to have “companions.” And therefore within the same “Big-Bang” gave “The Sparks” (in given) “all of his own resources to create,” (the Free Will to create without Interfering).

In the same context is it also said (both in ACIM and in the E.C.material), that “God” can do “the withdrawal” of all his Sparks”back to Its Source”, whence “they” came from (and “in reality” never have left in the first place).
    It is absolutely amazing.
    B&B,Inger Lise.

  5. Mary Ann and others,

Thank you for adding this to our collection.

This topic is also explored with interesting expressions by the poet James Merrill in THE CHANGING LIGHT AT SANDOVER which was originally published as Mirabai Book of Numbers and a trilogy in which through a very long and rather tedious process of the Ouigi board with his life partner David in their home in Stongington Ct. where he received a long series of communications in the form of verse from numerous beings, some deceased friends, the poet WH Auden, Maya Deren the writer anthropologist he knew, as well as several “angels” who offered information about the topics we are exploring. Maya, a 5, not sure why that number was important, would not be returning and another friend either, who sort of merged with nature. So clearly that was an option.
In OF WATER AND SPIRIT by Malidoma Some, there was a leap into a portal in which strands were visible and once touched lives appeared that were related to those undergoing initiaion which in the Dagara tradition was most grueling. Oh, the good ole days. The book was a great read for many reasons including the mix of memoir and information regarding the territories we are exploring.

Cayce I agree Inger is a wonderful source too.
    with appreciation for all
    Louisa

  6. It is an enigma to be part of the process in this manner. It certainly punctuates Rita’s point about the teacher and the student being the same thing. All of us teachers; all of us students.

  7. Thank you John for sharing this information. After Inger Lise posted her dream about the fishing trip in the Arctic and the rich Seth material regarding the anima/animus, I was also mulling over the concept of reincarnation and was drawn back to the Elias material that is brought through Mary Ennis. I find commonalities between Elias, Rita/Frank and John’s material however (similiar to Frank) I am still also trying to grasp the nature of strands in the overall scheme of things as well as the origin of a compound being.

Elias uses the terms “essence” and “attention”. Here are their definitions:

ESSENCE: oversoul …… this is NOT an entity outside of you. It IS you. It is merely the larger aspect of you. It is part of you and IS you. It is merely that aspect of you that is separated within physical focus, for within physical focus you automatically move in the direction of holding your attention singularly and therefore separate yourself from the vastness of essence. This aspect of you, of essence, offers you not only information, but the remembrance of self; the remembrance of essence and the vastness that it is.

ATTENTION: your attention is you. It is your awareness. It is the combined expression of your subjective and your objective awarenesses, those expressions of you that create you as you. Your attention is the wheel that steers you, as being your own individual ship, and your ship moves you through your experiences. … your attentions are all focuses of essence, all present in your physical location, but not within time. Focuses are merely different attentions of you as essence, in other dimensions, in other areas of consciousness, physical and nonphysical. They are countless!

    A few quotes from Elias
    (www.eliasweb.org & http://www.eliasforum.org)

“What I am expressing to you is that in actuality, all of your focuses are occurring now. You do not manifest or create being born, and move through a focus and create death, and subsequently remanifest. They are all occurring now, for all of reality is occurring now. This is all of what you term to be your past focuses, and also future focuses. These are important to your present now, for they are influencing of you within this present now. The element of time in linear fashion is a creation that is relative to this particular physical dimension and has been quite purposefully inserted into this physical reality.”

“Therefore, as you choose the moment that you shall disengage from this reality – or at that moment that you term to be death – you shall continue the you that you identify. The you that you know shall continue in nonphysical areas of consciousness, for you have already offered yourself the experience of this particular physical dimension, and as essence is focused in many, many different attentions within one physical dimension, it is unnecessary for any one focus to be re-entering into that physical dimension.”

“You have chosen to be creating a reality in which you shall slow your movement and your actions, that you may experience the fullness of all that you create physically, that you may view and examine and evaluate and experience and assimilate all of the wonders of which you create in this physical dimension. You are in actuality creating the same action that you are creating within all other areas of consciousness – you are becoming, which is a continual state. You are not aspiring to be any “thing” else, for you already are! You are merely exploring all of the abilities that you already hold and all of the experiences within you that you choose to be actualizing and manifesting. You already hold all information that is or ever shall be, but you choose to be actualizing that information through different experiments and explorations of experiences.”

“There is no being that holds any more than yourself. You ARE essence. You ARE All-That-Is. Therefore there is no thing for you to learn, but there is much for you to explore and for you to experience.” “This is what is becoming your new expression of spirituality, to be accepting of all the aspects of you, and in this action, you are also widening your awareness.”

As Inger Lise wrote: “We are stronger together.”

    Thank you all.

    1. I also find the Elias information helpful, although I don’t keep up with it on a day-day basis. Much of it expounds on Seth concepts. One cannot help but believe there is greater understandings becoming available to us, and as Rita once said, that “water” will find “nozzles”. What is important is the information, which may or may not resonate, more so than the source or nozzle. Thanks for bringing that forward.
      John

      1. John, I appreciate your process and the sharing of your information with us. The information resonates with the other sources that have been helpful to me. Yes, the information is important and I feel the nozzle is important too when it is your own nozzle and you are connecting with your own source. I feel that is part of the greater understanding becoming available to us – widening our awareness as we extend our 3D communication with our non-3D self.

With much appreciation to you, Frank, Rita & all.

        Karla

        1. Karla,
The only footnote I would like to add as a participant in the process is that I don’t believe the source of this information is mine exclusively even though the joint mind and my transcription no doubt results in some flavoring.
          John

  8. Thanks, John, for being willing to share your communications and “ROTE”. This material, as presented by you and Frank, and Rita (and a huge nod to Bob Monroe and “Seth”!) does really resonate w/ me.

Today, I have to admit that I had another one of those “encounters” (of some material I read on another blog) that left me feeling “radiation burned” yet again. I literally felt sick, as if coming down w/ a flu after reading it (and the seeming utter certainty of the poster’s idea of ONE Truth–any others being, apparently, “delusional”– found ONLY thru seemingly endless sitting in meditation) (and, yes, I do see great merit and value in meditation, and feel pulled to do this regularly). I’m working w/ the idea that I get to find my OWN truth in this lifetime, and that is a “work in progress” (I’m “learning how” to contact/listen to/ask questions of my own “TGU”/committee.)

As I lay down to do my daily guided meditation (a very helpful and soothing one, part of the “Metamusic” collection), I felt a strong sense of, “I MUST start trusting what resonates w/ me, and doing my OWN explorations, or die!” A bit “strong”, perhaps, but it did feel as if I was recovering from a brief, but severe, illness.

Not too much else “enlightening” to add to this thread tonight, but just want to say a “BIG Thank You!” for all who have shared thoughts and ideas here…

    Craig

    1. Craig, never underestimate the value to unsuspected others (some of whom may not see this for quite a while, but will see it when they need it) of leaving a record of your own struggles and attainments. Thus, “I MUST start trusting what resonates w/ me, and doing my OWN explorations, or die!”” You think that’s overdrawn? You think that only applies to you? No, it may be useful to others; but as usual, we ourselves are the last to know.

      1. Again, thanks, Frank, for a kind of “reality check” (and how that reality expands for me every day!); as I iterated y’day, that other material I encountered produced quite the “abreaction” w/ me. I had to “process” this encounter w/ the ever-patient Susan for quite a while, before I felt “sane” again!

Hence, my idea to start writing down/recording my own journey, complete w/ these sometimes agonizing struggles. And since it will be a “work in progress”, it’ll help me to refine my own questions, and clear my own uplink. Just possibly, it could be of use to others, now or later. Maybe I am “blazing my own trail”, this “working my way out of the Materialist/Reductionist boxes”, but perhaps my journey is not that unique. It feels that way much of the time, for in my view anyway, (materialist/corporatized)Science and Technology have replaced the medieval Catholic Church as “The Authority to Follow”, that it just does not get questioned (I tend to admire the more “maverick” Scientists, Bruce Lipton, Rupert Sheldrake, et al, who are daring to question the accepted “dogma” of the Materialists).

So, in following this thread, it does help me to take back my own power, to “clear my channels”, and “carry on, and explore on”. Thanks again!

        Craig

        1. Bear in mind, Craig — and anyone who reads this — there is no way for us to know how important to others things that seem to be our own private struggles may turn out to be. I can’t quote it, but somewhere Emerson in his later years looked back on his youth, and said all the authority of the world’s thought was ranged against the boy he had been, yet the boy’s thought had swept the world. Emerson was faithful to his inner compass. Another way to put it is, he lived in faith. What else can we do? Fortunately, there isn’t anything else we NEED to do!

          1. Thanks a lot,I love it Frank.
ONE more thing (to be sure of)and have felt as the importance in remembering (within all of these”things), about living: “We are NEVER alone.”
Lots and lots of thanks to you and all.
Nighty, nighty from over here Inger Lise.
P.S. Woke up this very morning, with the vivid memory of having had “a meeting” with my late father/dad. When “waking up” could still FEEL his hand in mine (I have had the luck to have had the most wonderful dad in the whole universe, and I have missed him deeply).
But my Dad was telling me (in the dream) to be cautious about the “Speedy Gonzales Driving”of mine (a very bad habit). He said: “It is much traffic and the control by the police.”
And I was asking him if he had met mom (my late mother), and he said Yes, but she was barely alive”…??

It came as a surprise, because yesterday my husband and I were planning to drive a long distance for a visit to our old friends in Sweden next week.
My late dad must have “overheard” us discussing who should drive (my husband says he is to become “a nervous wreck” sitting beside me when I am to drive).

          2. So, if the real life situation (your husband being afraid because you drive too fast, and you persisting in driving too fast for safety) were a dream rather than real life, how would you interpret the dream?

  9. That`s the Big Question for sure, Frank, and thanks.
Gee, if absolutely EVERYTHING in the life of ours are symbolism… well, my loving dad (eventually the higher Self) telling me “to calm down” more or less (my mom) the female part, was barely alive, when I am driving too fast; in me “playing with” too much of the male energy, instead to use it (the energies) with the balance between the two… and to bring the life-situations merely as it comes to you in “a safe manner” (the inner own police-control along “the road”).

Okay, it is about BALANCE obviously (laughs). Well, well, I AM born this time around as “a Libra,” in late September. More and more to realize in me to work with (to learn&practice), “The Balance” in every-thing. I have always done “everything-in-a-hurry” (many a time to the edge of the cliff).
    B&B,Inger Lise(with a big smile)… It is no death, that`s for sure.

P.S.I believe RITA “came through” last week (it FELT like hers).
