Behind the scenes

My good and long-time friend Rich Spees of Spees Design sent me an email this morning at 6, when he was sure that the influx of site visitors from the Coast to Coast AM program had been handled without incident. He said, in part :

I’m very pleased with myself. In the past few weeks, I’ve completely redesigned the site, moved the shopping cart over to the new system, set up a new payment system, and tested and debugged it. I then added an email capture system with the ability to send out newsletters and email blasts, tested and debugged that, and then took some serious traffic via your radio interview and the links from the C2C site, and both the blog and the main site performed flawlessly and took everything in stride. I’ve been watching the error logs, and there were virtually zero issues. Whenever I checked the sites, everything was loading quickly with no evidence that we were taking some serious traffic.

This was a big undertaking in the 11th hour, and I didn’t turn into a pumpkin.

To which I replied:

> I’m very pleased with myself.

You had ought to be!

My deliberately whimsical grammar aside, I’m taking this opportunity to publicly acknowledge Rich’s consistently outstanding work. I’m sure glad he likes fooling with this stuff!

  1. Hi Frank,

Enjoyed the interview on C2C, I’ve been accessing the bio-organic-net for years, since my first peak experience in the early 80’s. If you’re ever in Asheville, NC let me know we’ll have coffee.

  2. Hi Frank
I enjoyed listening to you on the radio even though I should have been sleeping. The program was very interesting.
    Your cousin,
    Rosemarie

  3. Frank – I too enjoyed your time on C2C! I could have listened to you for several more hours! Glad you Rich the website held up! Ditto Bjorn – if you’re ever in Austin TX, let me know & we’ll have coffee. There are many like-minded people in Austin, and C2C enjoys a very large share of listeners here! 🙂
